Matereality evolved from a long history of supporting engineering teams with practical materials information tools and workflows.
Release announcements and service bulletins trace that progression from web-based material databases to CAE model creation, role-focused enterprise libraries, laboratory workflows, and the current digitalization portfolio.

The first web-based Matereality product gave organizations a way to organize complex material information, keep collections private, and make them available to authorized users.
Version 2.0 expanded the material data management platform with secure TrueDigital data, MIRO search, unit conversion, and CAE export workflows for applications including Abaqus and Ansys. Matereality also adopted MatML for material-property exchange.
Read the Version 2.0 releaseVersion 2.1 introduced scalable Material Data Servers and Material Databases, strengthened visualization and unit conversion, and fully enabled CAE Modeler tasks for converting source properties into application-ready material models.
Read the Version 2.1 releaseOn the fifth anniversary of the platform, Version 3.0 added scaled corporate data-center deployments, web tools for loading and manipulating data, selective peer-to-peer sharing, broader CAE connectivity, and automated laboratory data uploads.

It improved DataViewer plotting and statistical analysis, updated CAE Modelers, and added a governed path for publishing previously private material data through qualified sources.
Read the Version 7.0 releaseVersion 8 organized properties, CAE material cards, reports, and specifications into interconnected libraries with role-specific applications. The same period brought a traceable materials portal into SOLIDWORKS 2014 for simulation users.
Read the SOLIDWORKS portal releaseVersion 9 introduced authoring directly from data grids, governed requests for missing content, expanded specification management, advanced fitting and statistical analysis, and master material-file export for common CAE preprocessors.
Version 10 added bulk loading from Excel, expanded material-model conversion for LS-DYNA and RADIOSS, role-specific dashboards, master CAE material libraries tied to enterprise naming, and richer test-method documentation.
Later service bulletins extended free-form Excel import, introduced the Printer module for direct PDF reporting, enhanced rate-dependent CAE Modelers, carried more traceability into material files, and added library exports for NX, CATIA, Creo, ANSA, and HyperWorks workflows.
In June, Matereality LLC was acquired by the Applus+ Laboratories division, bringing its materials-information software into the broader testing, engineering, and certification organization.
Matereality added laboratory information management to its material data management software, connecting test requests, execution, analysis, and delivery with managed materials information.
