Material Supplier Databases Product Details


The Matereality Material Databases product comes with a complete set of tools to streamline your customer-facing technical support operations. Material Databases comes ready-to-implement with no software installation or maintenance needed at your end. All common property types are pre-loaded. Simply start adding your data into the system.

Each Material Database product includes a MaterealityDomain with one Material Data Steward master account and ten Data Owner accounts. An unlimited number of clients can use your Material Database. Choose additional options to add value to your operation and increase the interoperability between your internal teams.

Material Data Steward

This is a special account controlled by an administrator who is responsible for your Material Database. The steward may be technical, or in large organizations, an administrator who is supported by a technical expert.

Role of the Material Data Steward

• keep the database up to date
• modify material nomenclature
• review and approve new material property data
• transfer material data ownership to product specialists

Handling multiple product lines

A Data Owner account is created for a technical support specialist dedicated to each product line. All material data for a product line is owned and controlled by this specialist.

Role of the Data Owner

• controls the status of data: public, private or hidden following your business practice
• approves the release of private data to qualified users of your Material Database
• monitors Access Logs to see who is using your data

Client access to your Material Database

Access is free and unlimited to your clients. All clients need to obtain a unique global identification in order to access your Material Database. Registrations are managed by Matereality.



Options

Skins Option

The Skins Option is a powerful way to brand your materials with a look and feel that is consistent with your corporate image and your web-site. Get all the functionality of Matereality, but with your logo, colors and imagery.

Data Provider Option

If you have an active product development program with test laboratories generating a large volume of properties, add DataProvider accounts which give your internal laboratories the ability to load data directly to your Material Database.

Data loading services

If your update needs are small or sporadic, avail of the convenience and expertise of Matereality’s data loaders to quickly and economically load your legacy and current data into your Material Database.

Additional internal data management seats

If you have more than 10 product groups, or would like to add data zones for your R&D engineers, technical support team or sales and marketing staff, buy additional seats of Matereality as you need them.
