Materials Communities Matereality® can satisfy the material data needs of engineers and scientists in a variety of manufacturing verticals- aerospace, automotive, consumer products, electronics, and so on. It is clear however, the each manufacturing vertical has their own collections of materials that are unique to their industry. Further the types of properties needed do depend on the industry as well. The question arises: "How does one make the system pertinent to such a diverse user base?" The answer lies in Materials Communities. Materials Communities allow the creation of industry or region-specific communities that are run by Matereality® users with the objective of populating it with content that is meaningful to that community. Materials Communities can approach the right content providers for their region or industry such as material suppliers and industry associations and collectively request that Matereality® be populated with industry relevant information on the right materials. They can meet to set up industry specifications to make it easier for content providers to supply content. Materials Communities are run by individual Matereality® Users. Each community has a Chairman and an Advisory Board of up to 6 members. The Materials Community may decide to hold elections periodically to appoint new members. Industry Associations and Special Interest Groups having such an objective can also simply adopt Matereality® as their material data platform. The following Materials Communities are in formation at this time - Electronics Please contact
